Join our small-group Northern Lights chase from Tromsø. We achieved a 96% success rate across the 2025/26 season.
Every evening, our guides use live weather forecasts, satellite cloud data and local knowledge to choose the route. We head away from city lights in search of dark locations and clearer skies.
Travel in a 4x4 minibus with no more than 8 guests. Our route changes with the conditions, and the chase can take us into Finland or Sweden when needed.
That relentless approach is why we reach a 96% success rate of finding visible aurora in the 2025/26 season. Every night is different, and sightings cannot be guaranteed. We make our decisions using real conditions and our guides’ experience.
During the chase, we stop at handpicked locations chosen for darkness and visibility. A campfire when conditions allow, and your guide captures professional photos throughout the night, shared with you afterwards.
Included at no extra cost: warm drinks, snacks, thermal suit, and professional photos taken by your guide.

Cancel more than 24 hours before departure for a full refund. Cancellations less than 24 hours before departure are not refundable, and rescheduling within 24 hours is not available.
Temperatures can drop well below freezing. Dress in warm layers, sturdy boots, gloves, and a hat. We provide thermal suits, a cozy campfire, and hot drinks to keep you warm and comfortable.
The meeting point is Kaigata 4, 9008 Tromsø, Norway. Please arrive 10 minutes before departure. A map and directions are included on this page.
Each tour is limited to 8 guests maximum. Small groups mean more comfort, personal attention from the guide, and a better chance to enjoy the aurora without crowds.
Plan for a 6–7 hour tour departing at 19:00. The return time depends on weather, driving distance and aurora conditions, so allow for a late night.
