Small group or private local minibus chase from Tromsø. 93% aurora success rate.

We’ve got three great options for you, join a fun group tour or book a private tour for a more personal experience with just you and your favorite people

Maximize your chances of witnessing the Northern Lights with Tromsø's most dedicated aurora chase team, achieving a 93% success rate across the 2024/25 season.
Most northern lights tours follow a fixed route and hope for the best. We don't. Every night our guides track live weather and aurora forecasts using satellite cloud data and microclimate knowledge built from hundreds of nights in the field, adapting the route as conditions develop, not following a schedule.
After pickup in central Tromsø, the chase begins. Our smaller 4x4 minibus reaches dark, remote locations that larger buses simply can't access. We don't follow a fixed route. We follow the aurora. If needed, we're even prepared to cross the border into Finland or Sweden to find the lights.
This relentless approach is why we've achieved a 93% success rate of finding visible aurora activity, the highest you'll find in Tromsø. Stunning displays happen even at Kp 0 or Kp 1. The Lyngen Alps block coastal moisture giving us clearer skies inland. Our decisions are based on real conditions, not a single forecast.
If we believe there's no chance of seeing the Northern Lights the day of your tour, we cancel and give you a full refund or rebook you for the next available night.
During the chase we stop at handpicked locations chosen for darkness and visibility. A campfire is prepared when conditions allow, and your guide captures professional photos throughout the night, shared with you afterwards.
Included at no extra cost: warm drinks, snacks, and professional photos taken by your guide.
One of nature's most extraordinary displays. Book your night with the team most likely to find it.

Clear communication, fast responses, and honest guidance come as standard. From booking to pickup, we make sure guests feel informed, supported, and well taken care of.
We keep our groups small to ensure comfort, flexibility, and a more personal connection. This allows us to adapt easily, avoid crowds, and focus on the details that matter.
With deep local knowledge, our guides know where to go beyond the usual stops. We seek out quiet viewpoints, lesser-known routes, and hidden gems that reveal the Arctic at its best.
Yes — enjoy free cancellation or rescheduling up to 24 hours before departure. Book with peace of mind.
Temperatures can drop well below freezing. Dress in warm layers, wear a winter jacket, sturdy boots, gloves, and a hat. We provide hot drinks to keep you comfortable.
The meeting point is Kaigata 4, 9008 Tromsø, Norway. Please arrive 10 minutes before departure. A map and directions are included on this page.
Each tour is limited to 8 guests maximum. Small groups mean more comfort, personal attention from the guide, and a better chance to enjoy the aurora without crowds.
The tour usually returns around midnight to 1:00 AM, depending on weather and aurora conditions. Exact timing may vary, as we often stay out longer to maximize your chances of seeing the lights.
